Solid Diff Covers???
I just ordered a set of Solid diff covers...couldn't pass on the deal they are offering right now...check out the Sponsor thread if you need soem diff covers!
My questions are...
Has anyone painted theres???
How do they come now??? Are they baresteel or PC??? I read something about how they changed them, but couldn't find the info.
If you painted them...what did you use and post some pics?!
What diff fluid did you go with? and how much did you use? I have a 30 in front and 44 in the rear....
Also, lube lockers or no lubelockers??? I've read some mixed reviews & can't decide whether or not they're woth it.

I can't answer on the painting of the Solid covers, but I painted my stock ones and it was pretty easy. I sanded it down well, then used a self etching priner, then painted with some high temp paint. I use lube lockers, much easier to use and as long as you torque it correctly, they will last a long time and will not leak.

they come powder coated , a hammered silver gray , they look great no reason to paint them , until you mash them with a rock , get the lube lockers well worth the money , they can be reused

I painted mine semi-gloss black. They look great. I use Mobile1 75W-90 full synthetic lube oil. I highly recommend lube lockers. Much easier - I've redone the RTV once on mine and that was the last time I'll ever do that.
If you want pics of how they look painted, PM me and I'll get some pics for you.
