I did 3 coats. The stuff i used covers fairly quickly and evenly. It was mainly the sanding that took me so long and I had to take the plasti dip off too.

I'm in the process of doing this. I've got the wheel off the tire though. So far i've sanded with light sand paper, then went back over with a softer sand paper. I cleaned with alcohol then sprayed three seperate light coats. I got my roomates blow dryer, and that speed the process (highly suggested). That's it. It took no time. Tommorrow I will do the inside. Ps I used 1 can and 3/4 of another for two wheels, and i'll probably buy two more to finish the other three.

Man, that sure dos look like it works pretty well. Has anyone had their wheels done for a year or longer and can vouch for how well it stands up over time? I dont like to do something to my jeep only to find out that it peels or fades when the seasons change. Also, pic of the can you guys are using? Ive used bedlinerfor other projects, nothing id consider worth what I paid

I used rust-oleum bed liner on mine. I just painted the face of the wheel, masked off the inside of the rim before I sprayed it on. Didn't use primer, just scuffed it up with sand paper. It is holding up great with no signs of peeling etc.

I used Duplicolor. Got it from Advance auto for around 11.00 a can.
