Default Performance Upgrades from Stock- Priority List

Hey guys, I have been searching through the forums and thought that I'd like to begin making a list of "to dos" on performance upgrades & mods.

Basically what I was thinking about was some kind of an evolutionary list starting with cheap and easy changes as simple as new air filter, working down to muffler upgrades & programmers, and then all the way down to major overhauls like superchargers etc.

Anyone want to throw their hat in the ring on this?

I'll start with one I've seen:

1. Replace stock air filter with K&M
2.
3.

?. Conversion to CAI
?.
?.
?.

?. Supercharger!

What do you guys think?

The Supercharger sounds cool, but spend the rest of the $$$ on a Superchips Falshpaq.

I dunno what K&M is but I think hands down the single best performance mod you can do is regear your axles. I bet in that 08 auto you have 3.73s. I bet that sucks pretty bad with those 35s. I had 4.10s and after I put 35s on I had to run around on them for a week and it was pretty crappy. Put some 5.13s in there and it will feel like you have another 100hp.

Cold air intakes, headers, throttle body spacers, cat-back exhaust systems.... they are not gonna help you that much. Tbey just do not have the bang for the buck that they do on some cars and trucks. Just my .02

The little stuff adds up after a while. If I were you I would do (in order):

K&N Drop In
Superchips Tune
Catback (get a Jeep specific designed one as our engines like a little back pressure)
Long arm lift kit? I remember someone saying they actually help handling on road as well as of . .Im new to this field though
Ram-Air snorkel
Supercharger
HEMI swap

As they need replaced (as the performance doesnt justify changing it our but if it needs to be anyway then why not upgrade?)

Plugs and wires (do your research as Jeeps are picky)
Optima Red/Yellow Top (depending on accessories)
Synthetic engine oil/gear oil

Other than that crap there isnt much else you can do (i think) . . unless you find some custom cams or port/polish or something but if your going that in-depth might as well do the Hemi swap.

Also there will be controversies as some ppl refuse to believe performance increases . . but if you do a few 3 RWP gains then its adds up after a while . . its all about cost/benefit in the end and what you want and how much you have to spend . . . but remember the jeep will never perform like a corvette

>>> Also I didnt mention anything with gears b/c i dont know much about them. I do know that I have a lifetime powertrain warranty and so i wont be touching my gears. I guess it would come before supercharger and after catbacks due to cost though.

I don't know Green. I'd add in a Superchip to the list.

Intake, exhaust are definitely a waste of time and money.
