Default Pinion angle and caster correction???

I brought my unlimited in for an allignment, the tech told me if I want to acheive the 6-7 degrees of positive caster i would really though my pinion angle out of whack and would kill my front d.s. really quickly! is this the case??

I have the 3" teraFlex kit with Rockkrawler lower front arms.

Thanks
Jeff

it is sort of a game between as much caster you can get without going too far to where you get vibrations in you driveline. 6 to 7 degrees should be able to be achieved without that being a problem.

This is 6 degrees. Should the angle at the xfer case look like this. I was considering backing off a bit, but it drives nicer where it is currently.

I'm running 7.1 degrees on each side right now with the stock front shaft on my 2 door. Doesn't seem to be any problem at all.
I've got the JE Reel 1310/yokes front on the work bench waiting to be installed (already did the rear 1350) but I'm afraid I'll have to set it back to the 5 to 5.5 degree range to get rid of any vibrations so I'm enjoying cruising with the stock unit for now.
Probably tackle it tomorrow, so wish me luck!
