Default pipe loop delete 2014 JK

I'm looking to delete the loop in the pipe, the aFe and Magnaflow Y assembly both claim to improve power. is this true? I already have the complete Magnaflow system from CAT back so it may make sense to stick with the Magnaflow solution.

Thoughts from anyone who have either of these installed?

Thought jeep engineers looped it for scavenging or exhaust pulses? Pretty they have a reason for it and if the gains are real, likely very minimal.

I'm wondering how much power loss if any is noticed. Interesting how aFe and Magnaflow claim there is an increase. After installing the rockhard guards the loop is the most vulnerable now.

People have and you do lose some power and torque. The loop is there so that the exhaust is equal length on both sides (and that obviously is important). Personally, I see three options.

1. Leave it be unless there is a good reason you need it gone, such as a long arm install.

2. Rough Country makes a replacement loop that is high clearance and works with long arms.

3. Pull it all out after the cats and make a custom exhaust with an H-pipe.

I chose path 3, because it is the only one that will work with my build.

This is true. Get yourself the Rough Country loop if you need the room under there or redo your exhaust but make sure both sides are equal lengths.
