Pitman arm
So I just got a rough country bb in the mail for my new 2011 4d. I ended up goin with the premium kit which gets ya the rear track bar bracket, and brake line adjustments and a couple little things the basic didnt give ya. Then i order some front disconnects as well. I got to lookin at the spacers that come with the kit and though to myself "SELF" I could do that with the stuff I got laying around the garage. So now instead of a 2" lift( cuz the 2.5" is really just a gimic.. that .5 is to level it out)..I think I'm gonna make it a 3" lift with a lil zippin and zappin of the welder.
My main question on this is will I need a new pitman arm if I make the spacers bigger or am I still under the size that requires a replacement of that part???
Never had a jeep before and was not aware of all the improvements required to run 4 or higher. Just makin sure of what needs to be done lower than 4 to make sure its done right
I know I kind of ran off at the mouth there just to get out a single question but my mind is goin 100 different ways with this jeep!!! It's like leggos for grown ups with all the aftermarket stuff!!!! I love it. Any advise would be appriciated....Thanks

There is more than just 'lift height' involved in the need for new driveshafts. 2door or 4door, manual or auto, disconnected or not, front axle centered or not, how and where you drive, and some fairly undefined ingredient combining luck and karma.
Also read "what is caster? how much do I need" in the suspension area.
Also think about:
Longer links - swaybars that are pointing down have a tendancy to flip around backwards when flexing. This causes you to post lots of good pics to amuse us.
Bumpstops - these keep the coils/shocks from over-compressing, and keeps the tires from ripping the fenders off.
Brake Lines - will the brackets be long enough? Or do you need new lines.
Caster - assuming you actually opened the faqs and read about this? You have 4 options for correcting caster. Do some research before jumping on the $10 'solution'...
Driveshafts - they can't be repaired, so if/when one goes, you need a set of adj ca's to set the pinion angle on each end.
Seems like I'm forgetting something?
