You need a new mechanic. Or a real mechanic
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be talking to my mechanic ASAP. I'm also going to push back as to why I also blew up a front D44 ring and pinion, an almost new drag link, a tie rod, and multiple steering stabilizers. I mean shoot, it's a 2013 JK with 15k miles on it!!

I knew going to Midas for all my work was questionable.

Oh man I feel for you! Jeep is 2 yrs old with 15k miles? You don't own a lemon or Yugo or Lada. (google them kids) Don't ever play poker with that guy. If he can sell you on all those repairs with a straight face...you'll never win a hand Just wondering 3 things. Is he planning an early retirement on other peoples money? Does he actually hold a valid mechanics trade license? Did he lose a lot of money after divorcing your sister?
Sounds like he owes a bunch of folks a lot of payback. Contact Midas head office about this

Ok, called my mechanic. We're cool now that he explained it to me. It was pretty simple. He said I wouldn't wear out or break parts if I strictly mall crawl my Jeep and park it on snow banks and curbs. He then added that if I actually want to take it off-road, run large tires, and climb rocks the size of 1 ton trucks - well, parts designed for 32" tires on a pavement pounding vehicle just aren't going to hold up.

For a second there you had me second guessing why he also sold me massive one ton axles, 40" tires, and a custom fabricated suspension with an 8" rear stretch, 3" front stretch, and 16" ORI struts...

Something really strange does happen when I call my mechanic though. My phone starts ringing

Yah go to post # 14.
More story and I'll bet more laughs yet to come....multiple part joke...almost troll like if you start reading thread from top down. GD Jeep needs parts like they're going out of style Toyota might be a better choice..no one complains about them..Oh Jeez..

I'm still busting a gut over the rear wheel bearing. I think the laughing gave me a hernia. Oh god I have to go to the emergency clinic.

There are prescriptions available to help with incontinence. You don't want to be pissing your pants all the time.

I don't know if your perspective of the JK world is up to date or not. In recent years, average tire size has increased substantially as has how many people off-road their Jeeps regularly. The stock JK parts don't hold up to large tires and weekend warrior drivers. It is not uncommon to wear out parts in 5k-10k miles that should last 100k. Ask your whack of people what happened when someone would take a stock 454 Chevelle, add a blower start pumping out 700hp and 10 second quarters. Trust me, stock parts didn't last more than a couple trips down the strip. Same thing applies here.

It is entirely possible that the OP has worn parts that should have lasted longer. If that is something that just doesn't make sense to you, then I would suggest you spend your time in the "Stock JK" section of the forum.

I'm wondering what's happening here. Is there a joke going on or is this serious? Lol.
