Is Planman wrong? Checking Tie Rod Ends
It's not a good idea to really crank down on the ends with a channel lock pliers, but using them is a very common method to check for excess play or clunking in the tie rod and drag link ends.
It's so common that they show it on the Saturday television shows.

I'm still around. :-)
I just don't spend as much time answering questions that have already been answered as I used to.
That's why I prepared the write-up threads. Dirtman's thread covers most lift questions.
Gearing questions have been asked and answered hundreds of times.
Tire size, psi, load range and ply questions have been answered.
Armor, bumper, sliders, and weight questions have been asked and answered.
Supercharger questions and axle upgrade questions have been asked and answered.
Cage and safety equipment, winch and recovery questions have been asked and answered.
I still get occasional posts to my threads and PMs asking for clarification.
So, I'm still around. I just don't tend to read through already rehashed topics.
