Default Planning winter/spring upgrades

I am beginning my research on upgrading from 35” Pitbull Rockers to 41” Pitbulls Rockers for my Winter/Spring project. First of all my JK is almost strictly an off-road vehicle. It’s currently equipped with
• Front axle: Dana 30 with c-gussets and axle sleeves
• Read axle: Dana 44 OEM
• Hi-steer
• Hard Rock skids
• 4” suspension lift
• ARB Lockers front and rear
• 5.13 gears
• Wheels: 4.5” backspacing
Initial thoughts
• Front axle: Prorock 44 with c-gussets and axle sleeves
• Rear axle: adding c-gussets and axle sleeves
• 6” suspension lift – seems to be required since I currently rub when off camber
• Stock fenders (have to go)
Areas that I need more information
• Should I change to 5.38 gears
• Steering??
If you are running 41's or have experience with this type of build-out - let me know your thoughts and what I'm not considering.

Thanks,

3 days and still no feedback or recommendations??? There must be someone here that has upgraded their JK to 39+ tires. What issues did you run into? Did you need a 4 or 6 inch lift otherwise the tires rubbed when off camber. Did you have to add a hydro-assist steering? And gearing... with the 5.13 be suitable or will I need 5.38..

Any input is appreciated -

Thanks,
ALOT more information is needed to properly help you. My initial thoughts:

You're spending $4.5k on a ProRock 44 and still want to gusset and sleeve it? Really? That's the entire reason to buy a ProRock, it's built tough already. It'd be all custom parts if you do.

Gusset and sleeve the rear axle? Are you installing knuckles on this axle to convert it to a steerable axle? I think that was a misprint, I hope, correct?

41's are huge tires, ProRock 44's are tough, but I think you should be looking bigger, ProRock 60's... Also, hydro assist is a must have with 41's.

X2 Agreed here. I hoped that this was all a misprint. A prorock 44 ultimate which has 1/2" thick sidewalls and heavier cast C's will not need any more beefing. As for your rear axle, you need to research that, if there are gussets available...or needed...we'd all love to see that.
As said above if your vewhicle is strictly and offroad vehicle and you drive hard then definately look at 60's. If it was on road with some offroad use then Prorock 44's would probaly be fine.
My biggest....how much research, reading, and knowledge do you have in this area? You need to do some research, all your answers will be there.

I was originally thinking of prorock 60's but was talked out of it. I was told it wasn't necessary for 41's. The c-gussets and sleeves are probably my subconscious concerned that the 44's won't be strong enough.

As far as my knowledge - thats why I'm asking these questions... I do a considerable amount of research before spending this kind of money and adding anything to the jeep. I was looking to ensure that I am researching the right items and building this to last.

Thanks for the confirmation on the hydro-assist steering

You can do a prorock 44 and throw a standard D44 truss for a 3" tube on there if you really want to go full retard.

And hydro assist is a must. I believe you can order a prorock with ram tabs already welded to the housing

Your rear D44 is going to be nothing but trouble. Unless you enjoy constantly replacing bent flanges and axle shafts.

X2

I priced out some Ten factory cromo's for the rear. $425 with bearings and tone rings already pressed in. shipped to your door ready to bolt in.
Cheaper if you do it yourself.

"To go full retard" does this mean you don't feel that the truss and tub are required. That a 44 is strong enough for 41's ?
