I started by using my sons WK as a beta test site.... turned out awesome and now my JKU looks like Cyclone1983's Sahara Tan - except I didn't do the grill. We did do the antennas and door key holes.(Cyclone 89 here )

We used 1" blue painters tape in small strips on all wheels while they were on the vehicle. Then used the half sheets of Bounty to cover the tires and close in body areas. Mask whatever you don't want coated.

Took 2 cans for $5.98 ea and about 20-30 minutes per wheel. Do many light coats and try to do it in the sun to help each coat set up. It's very easy of you take you time when applying each coat.

Think I am going to try it on my trailer tires first to see how well it holds up. I don't want to be touching up my jeeps rims all the time if it doesn't hold up.

Default Plastidip Wheels

Did all five wheels this weekend. A little bubbling to touch up but all in all, easy great product to use.

I did my fenders yesterday. Unfortunately plasti dip is not so cheap in Canada. $20 per can. I've done wheels and a grill on my previous car. And the grill was chrome. Held up for two years The wheels went through a salty winter with nothing coming off.

Has anybody that plastidip'ed their wheels since had tires mounted? Did it peel off the rim edges?
