Default Please help

I want to know poeple's opinions on what i should do. I want bigger tires first of all. I feel like 33s are too small and 35s are too much for my jeep to handle atm. I am looking at 295/70/17 and 295/70/18. Anyone running these tires with 4.10 gears with an auto? I want to go as big as possible with out HAVING to get regeared.

POST ANY PICS WITH THESE TIRE SIZES PLEEEEEEAAAASSSE

PS - I have heard that all 2007 models with auto tranny came with 4.10 gears but am not 100% sure.

THANKS

I think if i went to 33s i would have regretted it. Go 35s and dont look back. I have the 321 gears and an auto: what many call a terrible, unrunnable tire to gear ratio. Its fine for now. Reprogram with the aev procal and youre set. Heres my 13 jk sport on 35 in procomp mts and an aev 2.5 in lift.

However, if you have the 3.8 the rules change and you may need higher gearing. Dont have one, donno, but i hear that the 3.8 is a dog compared to the 3.6 even with smaller tires. But if you can confirm you have 410 gears like you have a hunch about, go 35s regardless.

What model jeep do you have? They will help determine your gears. I had a 2010 JKU w/3.73s and 35" tires and had no issues. Now, I wasn't passing anybody on hills mind you, but off-road -- she performed very well..

You won't HAVE to regear, regardless of tire size. It's a preference. Recalibrate the speedo, and push the OD Off button when you get in. And if you haven't bothered to open the faq's yet, plug some numbers into the chart you'll find in the drivetrain section. (use measured tire height, not mfg spec. And if you want OD Off rpm's, just divide the number you get by .69)

Too bad there isn't a Show & Tell area on this forum that would be full of pics of various build combinations. Oh, wait...

Jack up the rear end, spin a tire, and count driveshaft revs. Or, go to the jeep website and send an email with your VIN requesting a build sheet. That will tell you what your jeep left the factory with.

4.10's were optional with the tow package. If you do in fact have 4.10 gears they are still under geared for the 32" factory tires on the auto.

Do you have a 3.6 or 3.8 engine?
