May sounds stupid but I had the same ish noise and I had a pebble between the tread that was clicking, it was driving me bonkers

I'd bring it back to the shop that regear end it and have them recheck it...

I have a friend who's a master drive shaft builder, and if he did work and then the customers had problems he would want to take a look.

^^^agree. I had a great dealer who did some warranty work and forgot to tighten my brake caliper bolts. Pretty fun experience to have a caliper fall off while doing 55 and getting jammed in your wheel and locking it up...
