Default Please help !!! Esp BAS lights on. No reason

Driving to work today on a fairly smooth highway maybe hit a pothole nothin major. When a chime sounded and the ESP and bas lights came on and stayed on!
Haven't been off roadin in months.
Don't see why this would happen all of a sudden. I know this has probably been answered before but I have searched high and low and couldnt find the same situation that I am having. Any help would mean the world to me.
Thanks guys.

First, is your steering wheel centered? Second you may have a dirty wheel sensor or one has gone bad. See if it comes back on after leaving the jeep sit for a while and starting it back up. Mine came on one day on the way home bc it was so windy that I was driving at 1:00 to compensate for the wind. Light was on for like 15 mins and turned off. Try that out. Good luck!

Yes. Steering wheel is centered. Only thing I have done in the last week was add led foot lighting up in the front seats. I'm gonna try and let it sit for a few hours. Thanks

I could be wrong but I thought if you had a bad or dirty wheel sensor then your ABS light will also come one.... at least that's what happens on our JK's.

Also check your toe-in. If you adjust this you will also have to recenter your steering wheel.

I have a 09 jk 2 door this exact same thing happened to me when turning into a gas station at first i thought gas light i look down and the esp bas light was on and the light were it saiz u are slidding. I called the dealer and they said bring it in. There is a sensor in your steering wheel colum and it is only held on by black electrical tape. It came loose and was making the computer think the steering was not center. I watched them replace still under warrant was free and no more problem since been about 3 weeks.

Hey jeepsta. That definitely sounds exactly like what happened to me this morning. Please let me know if you find the warranty and paperwork. Thanks
