I put a set of the Granatelli's "high mpg" wires on my '07 and was very disappointed with their quality. Caps broke off 3 of 6. I was even more disappointed by the complete lack of response to e-mails I sent Granatelli about my experience.

I have had Excellent results with Taylor wires. They are not one size fits all. You purchase the wires for you secific vehicle.

Performance Distributors - Screamin' Demon Coil and Live Wires. Noticed real difference in SuperChips 87 tune versus 91.
Scheduled for regear in a couple of weeks so until then, 91 tune really performs. once I get regear done, will go back to 87 and compare.

I have the Granatelli wires and I am very happy with them. They fit the stock wire holders perfectly and had good quality boots and caps. I am guessing the guy that had the problem messed up the install. Probably put the wire on the wrong plug and then tried to pull it off incorrectly. They clamp really tight!! So if you try to pull it off wrong you are going to break the wire. Stock wires are the same way. I was so impressed with them I also got a set a for my Chevy Silverado. I added these with the NGK Iridium plugs and my idle and throttle response improved. Before I bought my wires I pm'd a guy on the board who had them and he also gave me a good review.

These are the wires I got:

Yeah, that is more or less what happened. I tried to pull them off to inspect them after about a week, was getting an odd rattling sound (that turned out unrelated), and 3 broke coming off tye plug. I had taken all 6 OEM wires off at 50K with no problem, did these the same way. What is the "correct" way to pull these without snapping them? Maybe I'll give them another try in another 50K miles. They did give a smooth ride that 1st week.
