The dust shield on the pinion in the front is loose it didnt fit well. The dust shield does not turn with the yoke.
For some reason JE reel puts those dust shields on the shafts . Remove the dust sheild.

Any update?

Is this the dust shield you are talking about? (Silver part on picture.) If so I'm a bit confused...you say the dust shield in the front didn't fit well. Do you mean on the front DS because I thought the yoke with the dust shield went on the transfer case side.

I'm looking into getting a set of these shafts. I seem to remember on the install page of their web site the stock dust shields arnt necessary as the new yokes come with new ones. I also recall reading several threads where the user put the stock dust shields back on and they just kinda of hung there and didn't seem to serve much of a purpose. Hope this helps. If you haven't already go re-check the installation page on their website as its more informative than I can be I'm sure. Keep us posted on what you find.

My front shaft was making noise as well,
turns out it was that dust shield in the front axle turning along with the shaft all i did was put clear
Silicone around the dust shield so it will prevent it from turning, so far so good...

Good luck!

Edit again: This was bothering me so I went home at lunch and installed the new yoke that came with JE Reel driveshaft. For the front DS, the yoke with the dust cover from JE Reel (the one pictured above) goes on the transfer case side. The one for the axle/differential side is narrower and will not fit. Thus, my first post was correct.

I'm still having trouble with removing the front pinion nut. I am hoping to borrow a pneumatic impact wrench tomorrow for what I hope will be my last lunch time installation attempt of this front DS.
