Default Post pics of modded factory sliders?

So thinking about custom building my own sliders. Deciding weather or not to go square tubing to add to the stock factory ruby sliders or pipe. Kinda wanna add my own touch to one of the mods to my jeep so is rather customize mine than buy some.

Post up your pics!!!

I made the cuts on the short pieces 45 degrees and 22.5 degrees.
22.5 degree cuts on both ends of the mainslider itself

Welded them up and put some.gussets to prevent the thin factory brackets from folding.

Now what I didnt mention was the little gussets that go between the square tubing and the rubi slider. These 3 gussets were probably the most tedious to do just cuz the rubi slider is curved horizontally and vertically, so I spent a lot of time grinding/ fitting the pieces before I welded them up.

Same pic just zoomed it, these sliders are surprisingly holding up reall well, the gussets I made for the brackets underneath are still intact and haven't folded, also still using all the factory hardware to mount these up

There is one spot that is slightly bent on the passenger side slider from coming off a big drop onto a boulder big bear on.john bull.
Welds didnt break, rubi brackets didn't fold and I did not receive any damage to the body.
I plan on running these for a long time since they have been holding up so well

I refurbished a set of modded rubi sliders and they have been great. They angle slightly upward but they are still functional as a step for the wife and kids while not hanging low.

Rattle can....i use rustoleum truck bed liner in the white can. Works great and it you hit them on rocks like me it makes it cheap and easy to sand and touch up once a year
