Default Powdercoat or paint????

I am getting ready to throw on some new bumpers and sliders and I can't decide if I should have them painted or powdercoated. It seems like all powdercoat eventually flakes off. Let me know your guys thoughts and why you think which is better.
Thanks,
Chris

Powder coating is stronger than paint and works well as a base...as you start to scratch and scrap up the bumpers then touch them up in paint. Just my

Get some duplicolor bedliner, worked well for me. I sprayed/put my bumper on last summer and it held up against the salt and winter weather up here.

x4 on Powdercoating then rattlecanning on bumpers and armor.

However, IMO this technique is the not best approach on wheels. The spray touch up looks tacky on wheels for some reason.

If you live in the rust belt powder coat is not the best thing. Once moisture gets under the powder coating it'll bubble and go down hill from there.

Paint on the other hand if applied correctly will last a long time. If you scratch it. It can be easily touched up.

I used the bedliner on my front bumper and not a flake or scratch yet. Plus it matches, for the most part, my rear bumper that is powdercoated. I also bedlined my grill and it came out great.

The bad thing is with bedliner it can rust underneath and you'll never notice. It's also a pita to get clean and keep clean. Atleast I've never had good luck with it
