you may want to install some type of kill switch for the electric fan as well so the fan does not come on when the engine is submerged. Just remember to turn it back on when you're out of the hole.

The Jeep will let you know if you forget. Or, as was my case, if you have a problem in the sPOD that causes the fan to turn off when turning on the panel lights (bad switch for the fan relay) ...

For those curious, this is how I wired it. Switch on, fan is off. Switch off, fan is controlled by Jeep. A friend has wired this on a 3.6 and says it works the same way (I have a 3.8), but there is an extra wire you can safely ignore. This wiring scheme was necessary because the fan current exceeds the current of the sPOD with all other devices, and because the sPOD is a "turn device on" controller, not a "turn device off" controller. I didn't want to have to remember to turn the fan on and off every time I started the Jeep.
