Default Press or Pickle?

So I ordered a set of Crown ball joints, and the UPS site says they will be here today.

Any pointers on removal/installation? People in my local club said to just pound them out with a pickle fork. Others have said to use a press only.

Is the press just for the installation, or is it used on the in, and the out?

it's used for removing and installing the joints and they will make your job a lot easier. you will need to make sure that you get the proper adapters (specific for jeeps) as well as without them, you won't be able to do much.
