"getting some airs" in a 4500lb vehicle is going cause whatever axle is under it some serious damage unless the suspension is designed to handle that load on full travel... The prorocks will handle some heavy duty rock crawling, but that doesn't necessarily mean internal components (axle shafts and gears) or external components (trac-bar, drive shafts, etc.) will handle that kind of abuse.

The ProRock 44 with the 1/2" wall tubes will be your best option. If your suspension has a way to absorb the impact, jumping won't be an issue. See our test data below.

Strength in Bending
Note: Values greater than one indicate an improvement in bending strength. For example, the stock housing with a sleeve is 1.35 times as strong when compared to the stock housing without a sleeve.
Stock JK Axle 2.5” OD x 0.25” = 1.0
Stock JK Axle with 2.0" OD x 0.25" sleeve on inside of tube = 1.35
Dynatrac ProRock 44 Standard Axle Tube 3.0" OD x 0.3125" = 2.13
Dynatrac ProRock 44 Extreme Duty Axle Tube 3.0" OD x 0.5" = 2.82

planning on pulling the trigger on these this weekend, what am I looking at as far a wait time? I want the Dynatrac ProRock 44 Extreme Duty Axle for a 2010 Rubicon, I was planning on heading into the local 4wheelparts to order, or should I order direct?

Specify the 'Unlimited' version so you get the pinion angle and wider shock mount spacing designed for a lifted rig.

I ordered mine with the RCV axles and the prosteer ball joints. I've heard you may have to "touch up" the top of the prosteers with a grinder but they will work together. Scott can you chime in on whether they have addressed this? Obviously the RCV"s will work with stock ball joints.
