Default problem with cam bolts??

So my handling in my jeep is very squirrely. When i go over even the smallest bumps the steering wheel is jerked either to the right or left pretty hard..

I was told that putting some cam bolts on would do the trick. But every thread i read about it about how horrible they are. Would i be better off with lower control arms instead? I'm just tired of my jeep handling so poorly. I have a 3.5 inch standard skyjacker lift on 32" tires. I have adj front and rear trackbar relocation bracket as well

Should i replace the front and rear track bar with an adj one to fix this problem? Please help!

usually that bump steer is caused from the axles not being centered by the trackbars. You said you did front and rear trackbar brackets? when you did the front did you install a drop pitman arm as well?

The lower control arms being longer will help woth some of the darty/flighty/squirrelly feeling it has now too. If you want to increase caster use adjustable arms and not cam bolts. They are crap, and have minimal adjustment anyway.

Yes I do have a drop pitman arm- i just want to make sure that front lower control arms will do the trick before i spend like $400 on them

IMO even a stock JK can benefit from increased caster. At least a 2 door. They feel kinda wandery to begin with. Lifted Jeeps really need it.

It sounds like you have a geometry issue with your steering between the drag link and the track bar. Adding more castor will not fix the underlying issue. It may help the Jeep feel more stable on smooth level surfaces, but you will still have bump steer.

Had the Skyjacker lift with similar problems plus other concerns.
Finally, went to 3" Teraflex fullflex and now no problems.

I disagree. If there is a drop pitman and a track arm bracket used together then track and drag should both be in parallel. unless you are saying you used an udjustable front trackbar and a bracket only in the rear. If that is the case either ditch the pitman arm or add a bracket in the front and littlejon is right.
