Default problem with ESP/BAS

A few months ago i installed a tf 2,5" coil lift with shocks. The kit goes very nice, except for the front axle. It was a little displaced to the right side. So i decided to install a tf adj. front track bar and a steering stab. shock. I installed two days ago, but yesterday driving to my home the light from the ESP/BAS and the control traction switched on. With the ESP button i can switch off the light for the control traction, but the one for the ESP/BAS continues on. I have recentered the steering wheel. have you any idea how to solve it? is it a steering align problem?

Having the same problem. Did you ever fix it? I plan on doing some searches on here for an answer but was hoping you already had the fix.

Uge, Hope someone smart replies, I installed teraflex 2 1/2 lift kit just last saturday, drove it about 10miles on sunday with no light,Backed out of the driveway this morning and spun a wheel just a little in the snow on boom Light came on, drove it 4 times in the next few hours and light stayed on. Just backed up in in a hr ago and the dang light went out. Cant explain but it went on one time before for a day before i started doing and mods.

Check the sensor wires on both front wheels and check for rub marks or any signs of it being nicked. My light comes on sometimes bc the wire rubbed the rim and caused it to expose the wire inside. I just put electrical tape over it for now.

use the search option in the upper right of the forum.....but could be any number of things. from loose bolts, to an alignment problem. good luck.

use the ignition key sequence to diagnose any codes......

with the JK OFF turn the key from OFF to ACC ( do not start the JK!!!) 3 times quickly.....your odometer will then scan for ACTIVE not STORED codes.

Tried that little trick you described to search for error messages. All I get is dotted lines and then the computer displays "done" which leads me to believe it could not find any problems.

I was able to straighten my steering wheel out today as it was off center after the lift install. I played around with it for some time and no matter how "centered" I think it is, I still have the ESP light on constantly.

Also tried discnoonecting the battery to see if that would help reset the computer but that did not work. Looks like a trip to the dealer in in order.

Stupid light!!

Geez, mine is a 2010. You would think that this would have been addressed since the '07's.

That recall is for '07 models only it appears. Guess I'm bringing it to the dealer anyway so maybe a flash will work.
