Default Problem installing Teraflex quick disconnects

I picked up a set of Teraflex quick disconnects (for a 0-3" lift) from a fellow forum member and am trying to install them. But I'm clearly missing something (mentally, not parts). The one-page of instructions that came with them show a set of parts that are identical to what is shown on the Project-JK web site:

But here's what I received:

So first of all, the brackets are different. Second, there's an extra set of washers. But the brackets match what I see on Teraflex's web site so I figure the design must have been updated since the Project-JK write up and the printed instructions that came with the kit are also out of date. No big deal, how hard can it be to change sway bar links?

But as I follow along with the instructions from Project-JK Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource » TeraFlex Sway Bar Link Quick Disconnects Installation this picture

shows one end of the link sliding over one of the aluminum pins that came with the kit. But when I try that none of the pins fit in any of the holes in the swaybar links. The picture below shows the smallest pin trying to fit in the link. Both holes in the link are the same diameter and appear to be sized to fit the original OEM bolts. .

The small pin is also the only one that will actually screw into the supplied bracket. The larger diameter pin has no shot of fitting into the sway bar link at all. At this point it appears that I have links with the wrong diameter bushings in them (need larger ones to fit over the pins)? Suggestions are welcome.

The kit you have is correct. The brackets are the same as the ones I had. For the links you need to push the inner metal sleeve out of one end, then the pin will fit.

Cpt. is correct. If you have trouble getting the metal bushing out checkout the teraflex website they have video on removing them.

The sleeve came right out and the pin fit. I knew it had to be a problem with the installer. Thanks!

My new motto now is "just push harder"
