Default PROBLEM!!! with TF 2.5 BB

I installed the TF 2.5 inch BB. However the upper bolt on the kits sway bar link (on the passenger rear tire only) is rubbing the wheel. At the top where it meets the tire. the clearance on the left and front wheels are fine. I am using my factory wheels and tires (SAHARA) I cannot drive my jeep like this, it is grinding the inside of the wheel. Is the only option to get wheel spacers? Did I do something wrong when I installed them? is there a bolt with a smaller head that will give me the clearance i need? Someone help! i need to get it figured out so i can drive my jeep.

Thanks

Install the links on the inside of the bracket or just put the stock links back on since you don't have a Rubicon.

You need to run spacers with that setup. I have 1.5" spacers and it is perfect. As a temp situation you can remove the bolt from that sides sway and buy yourself a set of spacers to clear the bolt. It wont hurt anything but the ride will be a little more funky with the sway disconnected back there.

As stated above, just put the rear links on the inside of the swaybar. You might also need to bend the steel brake line up a little so the swaybar bolt doesn't hit it when you stuff a tire hard.

Simpler solution... don't use the long rear sway bar links. Put the factory ones back in place until you purchase spacers or wheels.

He can't. With a TF BB, the stock rear links go to the front.

vault400, you just need to install the links on the inside instead of the outside.

He Can. Put the fronts back on the front and the rears back on the rear. Its not ideal, but it works.

I heard this can be done if its not a Rubicon cause of the factory electronic swaybar disconnect.

I would run the links on the inside.. Running stock links on a lifted jeep is not a good idea. Even on the road, the sway can flip around the wrong way

Works fine. I've been doing it since I installed my kit. I run factory wheels with 285s, the Tera 2.5BB and the sway bar links in their original locations. No rubbing on wheels, tires or anything else.

The only downside is that it technically increases the sway bar rate a whisker as the leverage is on a bar at an angle instead of dead straight.

Think about this for a second... the OME spring/ shock kit doesn't correct sway bars, does it?

Oh... and there's not a chance in hell of the sway bar inverting onroad. Not a freakin' snowball's chance in a microwave.
