Default Problems after Leveling Kit Install

So, on Sunday I installed the Teraflex leveling kit (spacers). I noticed yesterday that it was driving alittle funny. I took a look under the Jeep and one of the sway bar links (passenger side) is missing the nut on the top. I have one side of the sway bay disconnected. We did torque all bolts down. I had someone come behind me and check to make sure. I did not re-torque, but they were done initially. I am going to see if 4-Wheel Parts has some hardware that I can have to replace what is missing.

Any ideas on why this happened? I am sure this was user error as I have heard nothing but good things about Teraflex.

You should always REtighten the bolts after a couple of hours/days of driving. It takes time for the bolts to settle in there

Thanks for the quick reply. I am going to learn that lesson after new ones are installed.

I had the same noise coming from the front after installing my teraflex. I decided to check the noise after hitting a speed bump in Walmart parking lot. I managed to catch the nut before it was completely off. I would check with 4 wp or take the one off the other side and go to grainger or hardware store to match them up exactly.good luck

Was able to find a matching nut. It is 1/2 inch by 20 for those of you that need it.

Now, I have two questions. I am having trouble getting the nuts tight. What technique should I use to tighten the upper sway bar link bolts? Also, there is a squeak coming from the front end after install. The springs are seated fine and they are in the right place. Any suggestions would be great.

There is a allen hole on the end of the stud for a allen wrench to go into. That's how your tighten those down.

I just lost a link too on my TF leveling kit. The top nut must have come loose at some point and I never noticed. It wore all the threads off the bolt and eventually pulled right out on a trail last weekend after the nut fell off. I have new links adjustable links on the way, shes a little rollie in the corners right now hahah. Put the lift in a year ago, and the drivers side one is still tight so dunno how the one side came loose.

What about using blue Loctite during install to keep them from backing off?
