Default Problems with recently purchased Jk

Okay so I am not sure if these topics have been covered to date. I am sure that they have and I cannot find them due to lack of experience with this site. But I recently but wheels 17X8 Inch on my Jeep with tires 285X70RX17. I am experiencing some unexpected braking on ramps and a vibration under my brake pedal. I was told that I could put 33" tires without a lift and I already installed bushwacker deep pocket fender flares on my JK. What do you think is happening with the braking? Not sure what it is and what to do.

Also should I do anything else with the installation. Someone told me to go to the dealer and get the computer compatible with the 33" tires. What do you guys think?

The vibration could be a lot of things but you may want to get the tires rebalanced. The braking on ramps may be from the steering wheel not being centered. That would be a little strange if you haven't put on a lift yet, but not impossible. Wol has a write up on how to fix it with s basic alignment, which is really easy. If you want to just adjust your speedometer then get a procal, but if you plan on gears in the future get a superchips.

I recent put defent tires on mine and recieved some vibration issues. the tire shop had to balance the twice to get them all good. cant rememer the type of balance they did but it goes both directions. I did the dance on mine to disable my ESP, cus I have a habit of pulling out in front of people and the the ESP would kick in and I thought I was gunna get creamed

sometimes when you put bigger tires on your esp goes nuts
try turning it off everytime you drive it to see if it still happens as much

if it goes away the first thing you will need to do is get the spedo recalibrated to the new tire size

Check your Steering wheel to see if it is true centered? This could cause issues with the ESP kicking in on turn ramps. Check out the write-up section on centering your Steering wheel...very simple and takes like 5 minutes with someone helping out.

Also, are your new tires aggressive Mud-tires? You will feel vibration on your brake pedal when slowing down because of the chunky lugs.
