Procal programmer
I'm interested in ordering a procal programmer for my 13 jk unlimited an woundering if it worth the money an dose it really make a difference on the shift point for the automatic with 3.21 gears an 33" duratracs I know it will correct the speedo but woundering bout the shift points thanks
I also have a 13 jk unlimited auto with 3.21 gears and 33" tires. I have been hesitant on ordering a procal. I finally ordered one and it should be here today. Im still not convinced it will help or make a big difference, but I will find out shortly.
Just with going to 33's, I don't think you'll really need to adjust the shift points, as you aren't changing gears at all. But if and when you finally do decide to do gears, it will definitely let you adjust for them. That's what I've done on mine with 37's and 5.13s. It also allows you to set your TPMS, use Idle Up for winching, and a couple of other things. So really....for $150...it's not all that expensive. Hell, just not seeing the stupid "Low Tire" idiot light come on when I air down makes it worth it to me.
I'm ordering one as well, my question is my jeeps build sheet says I have 3.73 gears, I'm wondering if when they did the gears did they already do something with the reprogramming of the computer?
Yes, it was programmed for the tire size and gear ratio it left the factory with. And any dealership can reprogram for all 'factory' tire sizes and gear ratios. The Procal will allow programming for all factory settings, as well as sizes and ratios beyond stock. (4.56+, 33"+)
Even without the recalibration, the list of useful features on the procal is impressive.

UPS brought mine earlier. Really neat product. Im surprised how small my diameter tire really is. My 285/70/17 tires are 32 inches as they sit on vehicle under load. GPS and procal are within 1/2 mph of each other. It freaked me out how fast the horn honked. It was instant when I plugged it in with two chirps. I was thinking a few seconds delay. Anyway, how many used the steering wheel recenter. If so, are you satisfied?
