IMO go with an 8 not a 10 and if you are ordering wheels just get the proper backspacing and forget about those wheel spacers. You can air down an 8 and not be to worried about the bead busting.

some people have reported 15's just clearing the calipers, some have said they ground down their calipers, what ever that means, it doesn't sound like something I'd be willing to do...

I was in the same predicament as you when choosing for wheels. I opted for the 16x8, just to avoid any headaches....But I really wanted to take the 15" route...Test fitting wasnt an option for me, thus why I went w/ the 16" rims...Since you mentioned you were going to purchase the wheels at a local shop, are they willing to let you test fit the rim (w/out the tires mounted) to see if you have any clearance issues? Best of luck on your rim choice

I have the 8069's in 15x10 (very similar to the 8179, but no fake beadlocks). Fit fine on my Rubicon with no rubbing. The front calipers are fairly close, but the rim's shape fits great. I was prepared to do a bit of grinding, but it was not necessary.

I run the 8179 in the 15 X10 size with no brake clearance issues but the back spacing pushes the tires outside of the stock fenders around 2 to 2/1/2 inchs while running a 33 X 12.5 tire. They hit the fenders hard at full flex with no lift and i have found this set up to be the easiest way to remove your stock fenders. I am looking at the River Raider fenders to remedy my problem. if you are looking for the wider stance, go with the 15 X 10. If you dont plan a lift or fender replacement, go with the 8's.
