Default ProComp Cast-Blast finish...

Has anyone seen this finish? Is it closer to gray or black? I looked at the website, but we all know how deciphering color can be on webpages....

I am going for the sans chrome look, basically flame red paint and black for my JK. I am wondering if this wheel finish will look right.

Comments..... anyone..... Weaver?

Procomp 7089 is the wheel in question. My fallback position is 8089.

You'd think I'd be smart enough to know to do that.... but you'd be wrong.

Thanks for the help.

Now I'm down to 16x8 vs. 17x8 with 33x11.50 by ????

16" rubber will be cheaper, and a slightly better selection. Both would look awesome, 16's would allow a bit more sidewall flex aired down, 17's would give a bit better stability feel on the road. The differences though 16-17 would (IMO) be so negligable i doubt you would notice it.

Oh My God! Go with 16s man. I have 17s and tires are about $50 more expensive each. Well, depending on the tire, $20-50. And you have more choices with 16s. They actually go on sale too.

that is my current plan, when i wear out my current 33's on my stock 17's, I want to get 35's on a 16" (unless things change before then)

I'd go 16's since you are planning on new wheels anyway it will save you some $$$. I went 16's and new wheels for just slightly more than 17" tires would have cost me. I think that 33x11.5 on 16's look pretty good on a JK, but I might be biased.
