Default ProComp steel wheel clearance issues

Ok, I know several people are running these. Pro-Comp Series 97 in 16x8, 4.25" BS. They are about 1mm from the caliper. Has anybody had any issues with this? Getting things caught up in there or similar?

Photo is attached.

Yeah... But I am afraid of voiding my warrantee if I do. I had thought this was only an issue with 15" wheels, and that 16's were fine.

Mine are like that too, have not had any issues. What issues would it cause?

I was just wondering if anybody had ever gotten anything caught up in there. Small pepples, or grit from mud or the like.

But with the lack of responses, I am going to assume not.

Mine were even worse...they touched the caliper bracket when I installed them.
I had to put 30mm of aluminum spacer behind the rim to clear it.

I am thinking I am going to have to do the same just to be safe. Where did you get yours?

Oh, just found these. These should fix my issue:

EDIT: These are 0.125" thick. They are safe to use. Full blown spacers are WAY to thick for what I want.

Do NOT use those types of spacers!

Extremely dangerous. They don't allow the lugnuts to fully thread onto the mounting bolts. Use the type that bolt onto the plate and have their own threads like the ones from Spidertrax, Teraflex and Rugged Ridge.
