Extremely dangerous. They don't allow the lugnuts to fully thread onto the mounting bolts. Use the type that bolt onto the plate and have their own threads like the ones from Spidertrax, Teraflex and Rugged Ridge.

They are 1/8" thick. They are fine to use. If I was wanting 1.5" spacers or the like, then yes you would be right. But at 1/8" thick, they are not going to be an issue.

Actually, I change my mind.

IOnstead of the spacers, I am just going to remove the stamping around the inside of the wheels. Its a tiny tiny piece of metal, and will give plenty of clearance once done.

Yup!

The areas in red are the areas that I am referring too. They stick out about 5/16". I am going to take off about 1/8". So it should not effect the strength any, but it will give a lot more clearance.

This is the same size that everybody on the forum runs. Cragar Soft 8 / Pro-Comp Series 97, 16x8, 4.25" BS. And its not a back spacing issue. It all depends on how much material is left after its punched for the hole. So for some people it rubs bad, for others, it doesnt rub at all. mine just happens to clear by a hair (literally).

The wheels don't rub now, but they are sooo close. And it will be no issue to grind that tiny bit off the wheel. It will take 5 minutes. And will have no effect on strength.

I would rather not give the stealerships any reason to argue.

It seems like there's a 50/50 shot of your wheels fitting or not. I've read lots of threads where guys fit Pro-Comp 15's or Cragar Soft 8 15's without any issues. Anybody know why?

Grinding complete, lots more room now. I ground down the red spots in my previous photo.

And, my '08 X has the calipers with the rounded part on it.

Planman... you are the man. I was worried about 15" rims on my D44's but couldent find any explanation as to why they fit on some jeeps and not on others. I will def. be getting those cragar soft 8 15" when i upgrade... whenever that will be
