as i had stated earlier, at 4", you really want a good complete as it will help you to keep your ON ROAD ride and handling at its best. at 3", you would need a new front drive shaft if you have an automatic. i see that you have an unlimited and so a new rear will not be necessary.

if you have a 2-door, you WILL need a new rear drive shaft sooner than later - with it sitting at the steep angle it's at now, it'll only be a matter of time before the cv boots fail and the joint itself as well. if you have an auto, you would need one up front as well as the factory shaft will catch on your tranny and start peeling at the lip of the sump pan and tear off the boot. also, just because you can drive your jeep just fine everyday to work doesn't mean that the ride or handling is as good as it can be or, at least not for everyone.

I have an auto and procomp address the driveshaft issues by spacing out the skid for the front and by only lifting the rear about 2-3 inches net (for a leveled lift). I've had the lift for about three years and have rock crawled, trail rode, high speed desert all the time, and many highway miles. Everyone has their opinion of what rides nice though.

I have the Procomp lift too and although it included the spacer for the skid, I still ripped the boot off my DS as well as nicked the tranny pan causing a leak after wheeling. I managed to get almost a year out of the stock DS before this. You will eventually need to replace with an aftermarket DS at some point.

Just go with a 2.5" coil kit with shocks. Now if your going to run stock wheels, you will need wheelspacers. If you have any questions, give me a call.

It seems a little excessive to go with the 4” lift. I take it you are just fixing it up for the looks and not the need for the height. You can get the same results and better handling if you keep the center of gravity down, and less maintenance too.

I would like a taller look, but am extremely happy w/ my TF 2.5 coil lift and 35 duratracs. Nothing more is needed than what is in the kit...
