If that's true then I'm sold. I get about 15 on the highway now with 5.13s! And that's running around 60-65 mph...
Are you on the premium setting or regular?

About the same here with a 6pd, but my wife is never easy on the skinny pedal

That's on the Reg fuel setting

Maxenergy here. Love it. Don't know what contributed the most to the MPG, (cut off the muffler and put a flow through glasspack under the driver's seat, Airraid intake, and Hypertech, with 4.10 gears and 315/70R17 and auto) but I get 21 on the highway, and 16-17 around town pretty consistently now. The best thing I like about the maxenergy is how it got rid of that lag when you shift to a new gear.

Hypertech here. The best improvement was fixing the speedometer for 33" tires. Which you don't actually need the Hypertech MaxEnergy to do (the cheaper Accupro can do that for half the price). But, a very modest improvement in performance--very modest. Most noticeable was the reduction in accelerator lag. I am running it on regular gas; I'm unwilling to pay $4 a tank to get another very modest improvement in performance.

As far as the Hypertech units these guys are talking about, they actually get programmed by you. You can use it to change a number of things.
As far as I know you plug in the Jet and you get a bit more power, and that's it.
Would you say it is better to go with a hypertech unit? or is that too expensive? Do you think they both get about the same mileage? I dont want to get something and then kick myself in the butt.

The main advantage of the Hypertech is that it allows you to fix your tire size.

One of the first to buy the Hypertech when it became available early this year, in fact I have been running it since brand new. I only ran without it for one or two tanks of gas. I get 16-17 city/highway mix. 18-20 on the highway without high winds (central texas 40 mph gusts constantly). I also have a K&N though. This was with 4.10 gears and 32 inch muds.

Best thing about the Hypertech

Removed first gear lag and stall
Changed tire size to match GPS speed
Change fan temp setting
Premium or regular performance settings
gear ratio settings (keeps the computer sensors "informed" to any axle changes)

I would not buy this if you are looking for improvements in gas mileage, its not going to yeild you much if anything.

Also have the Hypertech and am satisfied...Mainly purchased it to set the Tire size, fuel setting & possible gearing in the future...As a bonus, got a little improvement in performance as far as when taking off and also noticed the gears holding longer between shifts in an auto...

I've had the HT Max Energy for 2 weeks, and would do it again. I went from the X 30" tires, to some Rubi bfg 32", and actually gained MPG. I was hoping to break even, or take a small hit. Also, I wouldn't look for big power improvements, but the best word I would use for the "Regular" gas setting is "smoother". No more lurching or constant downshifts on these Northwest hills, and mtn passes. Also, it gets up to highway merge speed without the 4000-4500 rpm spikes I had before the upgrade.
