The AEV diff skid doesn't reduce clearance and protects your rear UJ.

So looks like it's Rock hard skid, riddler diff covers, and Synergy control arm skids.

Would these be the way to go over the basic weld ons or are those not worth the extra money.

Rockhard are very nice skids. Used them on the Rubicon several times. You may also want to look at sliders for the sides of your Jeep

Eventually I'll get some better ones but for now the stock rubi rock rails will have to do.

I found some front rugged ridge ones that are bolt on as well, got them off 4wheelparts. They look pretty similar between the different brands.

One more tip OP, when you get your new armor, bedline the side that will be taking the hits, bedline the **** out of it, and consider getting a gallon can of wd 40 and a roller, before hitting the trail coat the skids in wd 40 make those break overs buttery smooth, ah ya.

Good point. I'm reconsidering just getting the RC diff skids. While I may lose a bit of clearance, I like the fact they'll help me slide over obstacles easier.

Mike, are you in VA? If so, do you ever make it down to Shoecreek? Another forum member and I were talking about heading to Red Cloud and maybe Rausch in the coming months.

I installed JCR classic rock sliders, engine/trans/ TC skids and RC gas tank skid and diff covers.

I wheel harder than most and sold mine. It really just isn't needed and not a good use of cash. It does create a larger and lower surface area, but agree it doesn't hang more than 1/4" lower.
