Default Pulling the trigger

Whats up fellow jeepers.
I was lurking on the forums like I always do, just trying to learn what I can. I'm still waaay too much of a newb in the jeep scene to post any relevant information. When it comes to me I fall into the paralysis by analysis group. I just can't decide what I want.
I'm kind of bored and to anyone else that is as well I thought it might be interesting to hear people talk about how they decide when to "pull the trigger" on a particular item.
Here is my dilemma.
I'm a completely stock 4 door unlimited x owner.
It is my daily driver and of course I am in love with it.
My perfect setup would have 35 inch tires on it.
Obviously I need a lift and some rims and possibly some other goodies to go with it.
My biggest problem seems to be the right tire for me -probably sounds silly. I'd love an aggressive tire - love the nitto mud grapplers. But I've read they are terrible in the snow, and seeing the crazy amount of snow the North East has gotten lately that keeps the need for a snow tire in the back of my mind - leaning me towards an all season tire. Any suggestions on an aggressive all season tire? if it exists? lol a point in the right direction would be much appreciated!
as well as any stories or thoughts on your first purchase! might be interesting?

BFG KM2's 100%. They're great in snow. They're great all around.

I don't know how some others feel. but I have had two sets of the mickey thompson mtz's and they are great tires all around. In the last three weeks I have gotten some really good use in the snow. No problems whatsoever. I only have about 20,000 miles on mine with minimal tread wear. But there is a 4x4 shop in my area that installs them on a fleet of trucks that see the dirt and mud alot, and one of the trucks with the most miles has 60,000 miles on those tires and still have good tread left. I would definitely give these tires some consideration

Go with the TF 2.5 Coil w/shocks and some Kumho KL71 M/T's 35X12.50X17 and you won't be sorry!!!

Hey thanks for all the input guys!
I have definitely heard people rave about their KM2s on here and they certainly are a pretty aggressive looking tire, not mud grapplers but the KM2s are a nice looking tire! Same with the Dunlops those are diffidently not too shabby either. I think i read a post on here that talks about them - might have actually been your post mark haha.

in regards to jcr931's post. I love those kumhos. I have seen people running them on here but i just never really figured them to be a practical tire - figured they would be like the nittos and be bad in the snow. They just look so good though haha. Ill read some reviews on those now.

As far as the lift goes I was either going to get the TF 2.5 or the 2" or 3" black diamond lift. I believe i read on here the black diamond lift is a great DD lift because it rides very smooth.

Sick jeep btw jcr931.

Anyone try running the Duratracs on their JKs yet? Suppose to be the best "truck" tire on the market for snow and ice... and stiff have great off road capability...

The KM2s are one the quietest MTs while the Mud Grapplers are on of the loudest.

When talking about snow, there have been complaints by some KM2 owners regarding their performance on snow and ice covered roads. Run a SEARCH on snow and KM2.

The are a great all around tire, but that has been an apparent weakness.

I agree with Rottwheeler that it sounds like Goodyear Duratracs would probably be good for your application. A lot of my family has the Goodyear Silent Armors (that have the same snow rating) and they have always said how great they work. Plus the Duratracs would give you a bit more aggressive look and off-road traction at only the cost of slightly increased noise.

By the way keep a look out for a steel blue unlimited hard top around town.

I have been happy with the mud grapplers as a daily driver and even in the snow the past several weeks.

A couple others you should look at... Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips. All terrain with aggressive look, lots of siping for snow and wet roads. Pricey though.

Also, look at the Pitbull Radial line. Some siping, and some of the most aggressive all terrains out there (I thought they were MT until I read their website)
