Default Pulling the Trigger on a Front Driveshaft -- Need some quick clarification...

I have a 2dr automatic (33's) with a 3" lift that netted more at 4" of lift. I am going to purchase the Wood's 1310 front driveshaft. Before I do, I have questions that need answers. Thanks!

1) The stock driveshaft, which spat out grease, hits the skid plate at even a slight droop. Won't the new shaft hit the skid plate too?

2) New shaft or not, should I cut out a notch in the skid plate to help the droop angle/contact, or is that not needed?

Any other tips, advice, and comments would be great!

Again, thank you!

I replaced mine with a Wood's also and it still hit the skid. I don't have it rubbing the tranny anymore, and a small notch in the skid solved my problem. I only notched the front lip of the skid. Don't have any pictures at the moment though sorry.

Thanks for all of your help. I have extended bumpstops in both the front and rear that should hopefully help with the too much articulation -- 33's with 4" of lift is nuts! But okay, so I should definitely cut a notch in my skid plate. Just around the lip? Any pics would be great. I think I have a rough image on how it'll all look.

Thanks!

Here's mine. I trimmed some off that lower part also. I wasn't sure if it would hit there or not after the upper crossmember part was trimmed. You can see the line on my driveshaft where it was rubbing. I painted part of the line with a yellow paint marker so I could see if it was still hitting. It's on the top side of the driveshaft, you can't see it in this pic, but no rubbing so far. I also have the Teraflex extended bump stops. To measure the cut, I just kinda eyeballed it with the skid on and marked it with a paint stick.
