Default quality of lifts

I have heard things about lifts being cheaper up front but then later on you need to dish out money for maintaining the lift, like parts break and stuff. I talked to someone about the 2.5 in lifts and I was recommended to the AEV 3.5 in premium lift, Is there any truth to this...also can I run the ACOS JKS spacer with everything else stock or will I break something

It really all depends on what you want and what you want to do with your rig. If you just want a little height for a mall crawler, any old 2.5 BB will do.

If you actually want to wheel with it, how hard? How big of tires? I bought a RC Spring/Shock Lift for cheap and it has performed very well for two years with moderate wheeling and 33's.

Now I am stepping up to 35's, lockers, gears, and much heavier wheeling, so I am going with a 3" Long Arm. There are LOTS of options, but unless you know what you want out of a lift, it is impossible for anyone to give you meaningful advice.

Its like anything else......You get what you pay for.

The only thing I don't like about the AEV lifts are the brake line bracket extensions, the Track bar brackets(just dont like track bar brackets) and no control arms. All of which could be changed or added later. Everything else seems to be pretty good.

If you buy a TeraFlex kit, you will get a suspension kit with a lifetime warranty.
