Default Question about Smittybilt SRC front bumper

Hi Ya'll,
Can anyone who has a Smittybilt SRC front bumper tell me if it protects the rubi e-disco? I like the look and price, but if it doesn't protect the e-disco motor, I may need to go with the Expedition One or Schrockworks. (I love those too, btw)

thanks!

i have an src bumper, but i don't have a rubicon... so can't really help you. i think it protects under the bumper where that plastic skid deal is much better than stock though.

Thanks! I guess I could always rotate the motor up if I need more clearance.

I have an SRC and the front disconnect option on my X. The SRC does protect the disco from frontal impact, but if you were to come down off a rock or something, it does not protect it from underneath. If you are looking to protect he disco with your bumper, I would look elsewhere. The SRC is a great bumper though, I love the looks and performance of mine.

It does pretty well from the front. I really like it.

It protects from frontal approach up until the cross member?, but if you were to be hung up on a rock it won't. will add a pic later!

Here are some pics before I rotated the E-Disco, as you can see it is in harms way; but after I rotated the motor up, it sits at least 2" above the cross member... It makes a huge difference with the motor rotated, like metioned already you would have to drop down directly on top of a rock for the motor to be contacted, but it is still exposed. I don't have any pics after I rotated the motor, but I could take some for you tomorrow.

I like the way it looks also...

I like that look alot, and I'm sure it offers great front end protection, but for those of us who have the fog lights who would like to keep them, is this bumper available with fog light cutouts?
