No, you can not. Not unless he isn't using it anymore and has set his Jeep back to factory settings. It's how they keep them from being used on multiple vehicles. Buy a AEV Procal if that's all you want to do.

The above is correct.

Superchips could easily program the unit to have multiple cars. What if you own more then I jeep? You would have to buy one for each car. Cheesy

True....as the Superchips is VIN locked to each vehicle. You can pay them to unlock a locked programmer. Also, another issue you would run into is when the dealer reflashed your jeep it would over right the superchips program and you are out the $$$ again.

Look at it this way if Superchips did not VIN lock the programmer....they would go bankrupt! Just purchase a pro-cal if you just want to set your tire size...it's cheaper than the superchips! IMHO I would spend the extra $$$ and get the superchips programmer for the extra grunt you get, switch your tire size and turn off the this stupid light (_!_). and this way you can reset to stock when you go to the dealership.

The $99 option is meant for resetting a used programmer for individual use, not for multiple vehicle use. Thus, you sir, are the one that is wrong. Better luck next time.

It is VIN locked.

The only way that you could use it is if your friend set his back to stock. That means no programming at all for him, and a $350 gift to you.

I just reflash it back to stock, have the dealer flash it, then re-install the SuperChip flash. It doesn't overwrite the dealer flash features.

Remember, it does alot more than just the speedo.

I love it, in fact it is the reason I don't feel the need to re-gear with my 35's.

.

I know the superchips does not overwrite the dealer flash. It's when you don't set your superchips back to stock and when the dealer flash the JK with new updates it will overwrite your superchips flash which is not good. Also, you have to make sure you set back your advanced tunes as well like TPMS etc.

Ok I have a rookie question, does this stay mounted in the vehicle so you can change as you go or is this something like I have seen in the past where you remove a chip from the jeep and flash it then reinstall the chip? If it does stay mounted can someone please send a pic? I looked at Superchips site but it did not seem clear...

When sitting in the drivers seat, there is a port by your left knee.

You plug the tuner into your computer to update and download any new features you want, then plug it into the port by your knee to install the tuning/programming, follow the steps, then unplug it. For a few of the features, you can keep it plugged in, but in general, you remove it when the tuning is finished.
