Default Question about Teraflex Leveling Kit Install

Hi - I was wondering if this sounded right for a 4X4 shop to install the Teraflex Leveling Kit -

"front alignment is needed and from the photo alinment cams are not included but they are needed they are 39.95. Labor to install the kit will be 252.00 plus 85.00 for alignment."

Link to the kit I want to buy -

http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...rod=TF-1155200

Thanks for your help!

you wont' need a alignment. You can do it yourself in a couple hours. I've got almost 6000 miles on my TF leveling kit. I did it myself, no alignment, and the jeep runs just as smooth and straight as stock.

Hell no. Don't let them put cam bolts on your Jeep, if you want to adjust caster get adjustable control arms. You can stick with the stock arms in which case you don't need an alignment, the only thing they could adjust is the toe.

Not hard to install a lift, if you have the time and a few tools save yourself money and do it.

NOTHING ELSE IS NEEDED... other than what TF gives you. You most likely won't even need to straighten the steering wheel (2 min fix, if that.)

I recommend you do not return to that shop. That labor is waaaaay high for this simple of a kit.

Just do the install yourself. Leave the wheels on, unbolt the bottom shock bolt, sway bar end links, and brake line bracket. Jack up each corner by the frame and watch the spring fall out.

WOW! Yeah, I'm no expert, but I did read the PDF file after I emailed the shop. It said nothing about alignment cams . I also read a write up for a front end alignment... Shows that a little reading can go a long way... Thanks for the input, guys!

Too bad I'm not in Riverside, we can knock out both JK's! Then again, I'd be eating at the IN-N-OUT Burger and reciting Big Lebowski lines. The Dude Abides!
