Question about windshield mounted lights
Glare and relection on the hood will depend on what lights you mount. I've no experiance with driving lights, but Long range spots provide a pencil-beam and work well on windshield brackets, whereas fogs spread the light out in a wide pattern and are best mounted lower to the ground on the front bumper.
I havnt any pictures taken from the cab, but can tell you the 8" lights on mopar brackets do not obscure any vision through the windshield.
Correction....i just got home and took a look, they obscure the first 2-inches on the windshield in the bottom corners, but not noticeable enough to be a distraction or obscure.

Glare is not really an issue for me. Here is best picture I have of it. I can tell what color my hood is when they are turned on, but the light does not reflect back in the cab. These are daylighters and I have not got one regret about buying them.
