Default Question on milage of 33" vs 35" tires

What milage difference could i expect on nitto trail grapplers 285/65/r18 vs 295/70/r18. This converts to about 33" vs 34.5" diameter. My jeep is my only vehicle so its my DD so decent milage is a plus. I would like to get the bigger tires but if their is a huge difference i will go with the smaller size. Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer!

Can't speak for mileage on 35's but with 33's and 3.5" lift I'm still getting 10-12L/100 km or roughly 23-19 MPG. Of course that will vary depending on terrain, speed, wind, etc.

I have an '09 Rubicon and noticed no difference in mileage when I switch from 33" km2s to 35" km2s. This is my daily driver with a 75 mile commute.

I went from 33" Mickey Thompson ATZ's to a more aggresive 35" Mickey MTZ..... I didn't notice any difference either and if there was not worth worrying about... plus I'm way happier with the bigger tire and more aggressive look

I think weight is the bigger issue, not the actual diameter. Look up the weights and see if they are that different.

Will you lose fuel economy going to a 35" tire? Yes. Will a 35" tire look better? Yes. Jeeps get bad fuel economy regardless so might as well get what you want

+1, i'm not getting as low as 10L but a steady 12.5L on a 6spd with 33's and 3.5" lift.

50/50, I live in the suburbs but work downtown. I don't rev past 2000 rpm, and I don't go past 90-100km/h on the hwy.

Yep. As long as I keep my RPM's under 2000 she gets really good mileage even more so for a Jeep lol. I usually sit around 1900 at 115km/hr on the highway. One good thing about Sask is the FLAT highways
