Default Question regarding Off-Road Lights

Ok... I'm fairly new to the Jeep scene (JK is my first Jeep..) so please bear with me.. My cousin previously owned a ZJ and has a few items left over he gave to me when he heard I got the JK back in May. One of these things was an unopened set of off-road driving lights. I'm curious if I could mount these on windshield brackets.. or if they are too large. Also, I couldn't find any website regarding information about this specific product.. are they going to perform decently?

Here is some info on them (quoting directly from box):

ECLIPSE Lights Off-Road Truck Light System (by... RALLY or 3RALLY) (logo hard to read)
Long Range Hi-Powered Truck Lights 100 watt halogen H3 bulbs

And here they are:

So my question is..

Are these too large to mount on a windshield bracket? If not, what brackets will suffice? I don't really want to pay $120 for the Mopar brand. Do the brackets come with just an empy pane that you drill the size hole you need or are the brackets (i.e. KC, Rugged Ridge) only compatible with their own brand lights?
The bolt is metric size M10-1.25 I don't really like the look of after market lights on the factory bumper (and I have factory fogs) of the JK. Real bumpers are a completely different story.

I'm really new to this, so any information about getting these to mount up on my windshield would be spectacular..

Thanks!

We have the PIAA 540 driving light kit on the pillers. measure just over 5" wide and 5.75 tall, just becarefull of the windshield wiper for the passanger side as it does hide behind the light.

I'm guessing the brackets that attach to the pillars came with the kit..?

Bump up for the night.. still need feedback.

I don't know the answer to that question, but would this help you out?

From what I have read here, Mopar brackets mount the lights out and down and the Rugged Ridge mount them up and in. Do a search, but I think it was Clackey(member here) that offered up some good info and comparisons. The Mopar ones are $$$ and I think one comes with a rubber backing and one doesn't.

Welcome to the forum - the thread links below cover everything u need to mount additional lights. In summary - the Mopar brackets can be bought for $76 and if needed drilled in a vice to fit a larger bolt size (the bolts on my new KC 8" spots were 1/8 oversize to the bracket). Ask any questions, but check all the posts on these threads for almost every answer - enjoy...

Your lights are around 6" diameter so will fit on any of the brackets out there - just depends how much u want to pay and what style you want - 'up-and-in' (KC) or 'down-and-out' (Mopar) - many pics to compare on the threads mentioned above

Thanks a lot! This helps a ton. I love the mopar bracket look.. but SHEEEEESH $76 is the cheapest one can find them? Someone needs to fabricate some $20 brackets that imitate the Mopars and make an absolute fortune while you can. Since my lights are over 7" wide (6" tall.. refer to pics) I think the Mopar brackets are necessary if I don't want a blind spot in the corners.
