Default Windshield Pillar Lights

Ok, I couldn't wait. i receved my lights from KC today and had to put them on to see how they look. I still have not wired them yet. They are KC 6" slimline long range. They are mounted on the Mopar brackets.

where'd you get the brackets? I have the same lights but haven't decided yet where I want to mount. I had them on the hood hinges on my TJ, but my wife couldn't see over them!

And, how the hell do you guys post your pics like that? All I can do it get them to post as icons!

The brackets are from Mopar. I bought them from my Jeep dealer. $92. At first I was not sure if I liked them, especially for the price. I did not like my other options though. The Warriar brackets seem to put the light up and in. These are out and down.

Well......I'll take it apart and see. I will post pics of the process. I bought the new PJ front stubby winch bumper, so I'll lose my fog lamps. I'd like to use the fog lamp switch. I don't know crap about this stuff so I'm having my brother hook them up.

I thought about mounting lights there on my TJ and now on my Jk, but I was worried about "back splash" or glare from the lights. Any opinions on this?

I orderd the long range pencil beam instead of the driving lights. The clear lens of these lights should throw the light out a little better. The fluted lens of the driving lights spreads out right from the light. It should be ok.

I think I might go with the bigger light though. 8"?

I think I can do that. They might not get wired for a little While. I am waiting for my new PJ bumpers. I want to mount 2 more driving lights up front.

(I might wire them half ass for a while.)

Can't wait for someone to start stamping these out for $5.00 a piece. MOPAR is insane.

The front tow hooks (5 pound lumps of steel) are only $67.00. Light mounts (a few ounces of stamped sheet metal) are $92.00. Get real. I think someone missed a decimal place somewhere.
