Default Question: SpiderShade Ultra Mesh vs Trail Mesh

Getting ready purchase the Spidershade top and I am on the fence about which version to get. The Ultra Mesh looks like it would allow more visibility versus the Trail Mesh. I have read a lot of threads on the product, but i don't believe anyone has shown the trail mesh or made a comparison between the two. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I run the SW1 JK-4D in Trailmesh and LOVE IT.

It stays on the Jeep 24/7-365

On the rare occasions I put the soft top on, it goes on over it.

Visit their web site at spidershade dot com to read the specs on both styles........

Great addition if you don't like baking in the sun but still want the open air thing to be goin on...

Thanks for the info. I have read up on the specs. The main question that i have i guess is in regards to visibility. Specifically, the difference between the Ultra Mesh and Trail Mesh. Thanks,

Thanks for posting. I have the same question about the difference in these 2 versions. If you have 4 door, will you get the 1 piece or 2 piece?

So I emailed Spiderwebshade that exact question (and another) a two weeks ago. Their response was quick and delivery of my shade came asap. I went with the trailmesh primarily because I think it will withstand a snag a bit better. Haven't put on yet, waiting a few more weeks until hardtop comes off for the season. Here is their response...

Good Afternoon Mark,

The Trail Mesh is our upgraded, extremely durable version of our Ultra Mesh Material. The Ultra Mesh will stretch a little more than the Trail Mesh making it a little easier for some users to install.

The Trail Mesh come with a 5 year Manufacturers Warranty and the Ultra Mesh comes with a 1 year Manufacturers Warranty.

Some users have said that the Ultra Mesh is a little easier to see through, however both have been said to keep dew and light drizzles out of the interior of their Jeeps.

Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thank You!

Shana Simpson

Ive tried both, sent back the trail for the ultra, I bought one after seeing one on my friends rig (ultra) so I thought the warr trail etc. I didn't like the extra material blocking the view when I got it on. Not a huge diff, but I am much happier with the ultras amount it let's in. I guess it's all personal pef though! If I hadn't seen the ultra in person I'd never had known the diff and kept the trail. I had to throw my hard top on and it fits great without taking the ultra off. U will like either for sure, great product

I have the ultra trail mesh and love it. It lets minimal light in but you get the breeze of the outside air. I have been meaning to take pics and post but I keep forgetting. Maybe this weekend.
