Default question for the teraflex 2.5 kit

I know this question has probably been asked on the forum a dozen of time, but i couldnt find a complete answer.
I ll be installing on monday the teraflex 2.5 inch BB WITH shocks but I cant afford right know to buy wheel spacers too.
My question is would I be ok running the kit for a month without spacers (minor offroading) without worrying about breaking something in the jeep?
Thanks.

I would like to have an answer for this too.. I have 32s 10.5 wide... some people say it wont rub... some say it will.. I think the problem is with the tires rubbing the rear sway bar links..

Don't install the rear swaybar links. Leave the stock swaybar links in the stock locations until you get the wheelspacers installed.

Yeah, without a spacer, you will likely touch for sure as mine have rims that are offset and are very close to the rear links.

I'd say if you can scrape together a bit more, you should be able to get spacers for dirt cheap if you look around.

I have a 2010 Unlimited Sahara. I ran the TF 2.5" coil lift and stock Sahara 18" wheels/tires for about two weeks with the TF sway bar links in rear and stock rear in front (i think that's the setup the kit calls for). I only had issues with the sway bar links rubbing the rear rims ONLY when I had a load in the Jeep. IE - with no gear/stuff in the Jeep and just me/someone else, it drove fine. Once I loaded the five rims/tires in the Jeep to go to the tire store to get them mounted/balanced and put on, i had slight "clicking" when the rear sway bar links rubbed the rims.

Not sure of your exact setup but hope that helps some.

Best,
Stephen

Default Not sure

I installed the Teraflex 2.5" coil kit on my rig and ran the new longer rear links in the stock position (on the inside of sway bar and inside of axle bracket.) Now I am not sure why I did this as I did install spider traxx at the same time. Last week I installed this exact same set-up (2.5" Teraflex coil lift and spider traxx spacers) on a forum members Jeep and did install them as per Teraflex's instructions (on outside of sway bar and outside of axle bracket).

I haven't had any issues with the way mine is and it makes me wonder why Teraflex has it switched. I am sure there is a reason as they are definatly more of an expert then I am.

So not to thread jack you...But I am going to thread jack you.

If Teraflex is still listening why did you change the rear sway bar link position?

As well I noticed my kit came with a more stock styled longer rear links (links with non-greaseable links with a rubber boot protector on the top) and the other member's kit was like my Teraflex disco's front sway bar links with the greaseable links. Which one of the kits is the new style? And what was the reason for the change?

When i installed my Teraflex BB my tires weren't ready and my stockers rubbed so i just put the end links on the opposite way, ran it like that for a few days with no issuses, but i didn't wheel it.
