This is a pic of 22s with 37s. If I were you I would go with a smaller wheel. I couldnt imagine hitting a pothole with this combo. Doesn't look like there will be much absorption between the road and rim. I may be completely wrong though. Just my opinion.Click image for larger version

The silver one is clean and simple. I know it has bead lock wheels, but similar to the sort of look I am trying to achieve. I do not care for trailing/rock climbing or offroading or mudding. So back to thread, as a point of reference, to achieve something similar to that with my goals and desires.. What do I need?

Then look at the Rock Krawlers 5.5" X-factor long arm or something like that. Your gonna want new control arms. Your gonna want new steering components up front for as high a lift as you want.

Or metalcloaks 4.5", high steer, and fox shock kit. There aren't too many that make a GOOD lift that high without going adjustable coilovers and such. They know how unnecessary it is.

looks like a stretched tire a little bit, also the pic I posted earlier is of 22's on 37's. But maybe not stretched. I am not set completely on 22's, may settle for 20's. But I do have an idea of the tire size I want.

The Metalcloak one you could install yourself as an amateur is you have the tools to do it. The long arm one requires cutting and crap that yes you could do yourself if your capable and confident enough, but just better to have professionals do it.

(I was thinking somewhere between a 4-6 in lift height).

Are you sure you actually read the threads stuck to the top of this Modified area?

Most of the parts that are included with these taller lift heights are there to CORRECT the issues you introduce by lifting that high. Should that be repeated? For it to not drive like crap, you want a bunch of these components to fix what you broke. Not for rocks, or for mud, or for trails, but to get your angles and driveability back where they started.

As many others have pointed out, you don't need 4 inches to run 37's. You certainly don't need 6 inches. This isn't your old jeep. JK's have big wheel wells. As long as you are ok with flat flares and maybe trimming pinch seams and rails (if needed), 3" or so should get you the look you want. If you decide that you want a 6" lift, by all means go for it, just do yourself a favor and spend some time on research. Edumacate yourself on what the components actually do, and which version of whatever component is the best for your needs/budget.
