Interesting I did not know that they worked by reversing the polarity. Has anyone wired one of these axles/lockers is there a special relay that will reverse the polarity for you when it is triggered?

So in very simple terms, if I have a Sahara and want to install the front and rear D44 axles and lockers, what do i do? I obvioulsy can get the axles installed and operational, but what do you do about the lockers? If you have the switch housing from 4wd, is it plug and play? I think this is the big mystery. How do you hook these things up and make them work like stock?

buy the Factory switch and factory harness from 4wd.

the most you would have to do is splice it into the factory fuse box, Atleast that is how the e-disco worked. It was very simple.
Then you would have to get your computer flashed at the dealer to make the factory software work. Its really that easy.

My front axle just came in, I'll be able to tell you a little more soon.

Well, at least let us know how it went. If it's a full bolt on install. If there are any considerations...

Question: are you just running the 4.10?

No, I'm rear gearing the front to 5.13's to match the back.

I'm keeping my stock 44 in the back. I dont think the rear rubicon 44's worth the cost.

hmmm... never considered that route. Are you putting lockers in the back too? Or leaving it as-is with the gears?

The rear rubicon axle is 32 Spline, Locked, and bolts in.
Its also 1300 bucks. That is dirt cheap considering an ARB, pump, and larger spline shafts will run more then that.

I know that regearing would cost another 500-600 bucks for the one axle but it could be an option for some.

In your situation adding a detroit and calling it done would be the cheapest route and would still be
