Default Questions on evap relocation

Ok so I have looked through a few posts of this mod and i still have a few questions.

First I would like to know if you can still reuse the stock hoses when you do this mod on a 2DR JK?
will my rear diff hit the evap canister at full bumb if i have no lift?
if i can reuse the stock hoses do you disconnect the hoses when you relocate it then re connect them once it is in place? or do you keep them connected at all times?
If the hoses need to be disconnected is there anything special i need to do? or can i just disconnect them relocate the evap then re connect them?
also when doing this mod did you jack up your jeep and support it at the frame so the axle droops down or did you just leave your jeep sitting on all 4s?

I am basing these questions off of this original thread because this is the way i would like to do it

any help or tips would be great

i relocated my evap on my 2dr using the dominion offroad kit. You reuse your stock hoses and use some of their stuff as well. works well very solid kit and most reasonably priced i could find

FWIW, I used the Kilby relo Kit five years ago and have never had an issue with it. As I remember from the install, you cut one hose and splice in an extension. Nice kit.

I have a two door JK and did a DIY evap relocation. I did have to be a lottle resourceful though. The evap canister is out of the way and hasn't hit my differential or come close.

I highly recommend buying new fuel line with hose clamps for the relocation because it is very easy to pinch a line (hard lines).

When relocating I removed the entire canister and took the metal bracket off the back. I then pit the bracket in a vise until it was flat. After that all that is needed is three bolts that secure it to the body (drilled small holes) and attach hoses.

In the end I was able to do it for $10. If you have any questions or want a picture let me know!

Here is the best pic I could take! Sorry it is a little dirty, but this is looking toward the front of the jeep.

It is also upside down sorry

Did you relocate the parking break lines or is it just right behind them?

I did this relocation exactly like the thread. I used the original hoses with some trimming. U can disconnect the hoses and reconnect without any issues. If the system isn't completely tight, u will get a code and just look over the connections again.

I haven't crushed the canister in 2 trips to moab. Just b sure to mount the bracket up against the floor so the canister tucks up nicely. I did remove the parking brake bracket and disregard. The brake lines flow naturally by the canister. Good luck.
