Default Questions with mods?

Hey guys,

So this summer I am planning on mods, and would like to do it right. keeping in mind, I have no mech background at all, in what order do I need to do everything? and what should I go for? I do not intend to any serious offroading, and really want an aggressive looking jk. will do mild trails here and there, but really looking for a great look. It is my DD and not sure if I want to get 35's for that reason as awesome as they look. but does everyone think i should with lifts, tires, wheels, spacers etc. I have a black sahara. thanks guys!!!!

I HAVE A TWO DOOR SAHARA, JUST PUT ON A 2 1/2" RC LIFT TODAY.
EASY TO INSTALL PROBABLY TOOK LESS THEN 4 HOURS.

LOVE IT , IT REALLY IMPROVES THE LOOKS.

I ALSO PUT KUMHO'S 265/70/18, FOR A MORE AGGRESSIVE LOOK.
I DIDN'T WANT TO GO REAL BIG WITH THE TIRES, WANTED TO STAY WITH THE 4 PLY FOR DRIVING ON PAVEMENT AND HIGHWAYS AND ANYTHING BIGGER WOULD OF PUT ME INTO A 11 PLY. PLUS DIDN'T WANT TO MESS WITH THE MPG AND WEAR AND TEAR ON BALL JOINTS

I DON'T EVEN HAVE A 1000 MILES ON IT AND I LOVE MY JEEP !!!!!
STILL HAVE MY 84 CJ.....

I was thinking about just doing a BB, which one should I go with? and how big? I was thinking that I will probably go with 35's eventually but I really dont want to have to start replacing drivetrain stuff etc.

IMO the perfect solution for you is the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift. It will level out your rig, doesn't require driveshafts, and will clear 35s! The OME lifts are super nice too if you have the cash for one it is a great way to go. If you get a BB you will wish you went coils in a couple months, If you want 35s deep down and get 33s, it will just cost you more to get the size you want.

Do your research, get exactly what you want. I thought I would be happy with a 2"BB and 33s on custom wheels when I first bought my jeep. Luckily I was able to sell the BB (for pennies on the dollar) and trade in the tires (that had 8k miles on them for 1/3 what I payed). All I am saying is research is free, getting less than you want is costly. Good luck!!!

as mentioned, for your purposes, something like a teraflex 2.5" budget boost and 35" tires is what you might want to look at

Hey all, I appreciate everyone's input! I do intend to get a TF 2.5 BB and possibly 35's. my only question is I have an auto, how would my stock 3.73 gears go with 35's? it will be my DD, and wasnt planning on regearing. also if I did decide on 35's with the TF 2.5 BB would I need to replace drivetrain stuff? I would want to cause long term damage if i can avoid it. what do you guys think? 35's would be sweet though!!
